Parts-Ring operates as a neutral online platform connecting buyers and sellers of hard-to-find spare parts across South Africa. We are not the seller of any items listed on the platform.

By registering as a bidder or placing any bid, you agree to the following rules:

1. Platform Role

• Parts-Ring acts solely as an intermediary platform.
• The contract of sale is formed directly between the Buyer and the Seller.
• Parts-Ring does not own, hold, or take possession of any goods listed.

2. Legal Framework

• All auctions conducted on this platform comply with Section 45 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) 68 of 2008 and its relevant regulations.
• Auctions may be held with or without a reserve price, as specified by the seller.

3. Registration & FICA Requirements

• All users must register on the OPiC Terminal before bidding.
• To comply with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), bidders may be required to submit identity documents and other verification information.
• During registration, you must accept these Auction Rules, the Terms & Conditions, and the Privacy Policy.
• Parts-Ring reserves the right to approve, suspend, or refuse any user at its discretion.

4. Bidding Process

• All bids placed are legally binding.
• The highest bid at the closing time wins the item (subject to any reserve price).
• Bids cannot be retracted once placed, except in cases of clear technical error approved by Parts-Ring.
• Once an auction closes, the winning bidder will be notified and must contact the seller directly.

5. Payment & Shipping

• All payment arrangements are made directly between the Buyer and the Seller.
• Payment terms, methods, and timelines are to be agreed upon privately between the parties.
• Shipping, collection, delivery, and associated costs are also arranged directly between Buyer and Seller.
• Parts-Ring does not handle payments, hold funds, or manage logistics.

6. Goods Sold “As Is” (Voetstoots)

• All items are sold in their current condition with no warranty, unless explicitly stated otherwise by the seller.
• Buyers are responsible for carefully reviewing photos, descriptions, and asking any questions before bidding.
• Returns, refunds, or cancellations are at the sole discretion of the seller.

7. Important Disclaimers

• Parts-Ring does not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the quality of goods, or the conduct of buyers or sellers.
• Any disputes regarding payment, delivery, or item condition must be resolved directly between the Buyer and Seller.
• Parts-Ring may remove any listing or user that violates these rules or applicable laws.
